Each object contains the past, the present and the future of one refugee.
Important moments from their lives are carved in the tree trunks. On the fabric (life-size shapes) they wrote about the problems, hopes and fears in their present situation.
On top their fingerprints are pictured. A document number refers to a portrait on the wall.
The (uncertain) future is a thin layer of white sand on the floor. The copper-wire, balancing in the middle, parallel to the tree trunks, is an enlarged copy from the lifeline in their hands. |
