ALL I KNOW IS THE WAY YOU MOVED YOUR HAND In a pile of debris, next to a completely burned out apartment building, I found fragments of letters and other handwritten papers. Coming from Holland, I cannot read them of course, so the only thing I could find out about the people who used to live there, was the way they moved their hands on the paper. “ALL I KNOW IS THE WAY YOU MOVED YOUR HAND “ It was my personal way to remember the people who were "forced to go".
But at the same time, I wanted to show my wish for the future, represented by drawings from children from the local primary school. |

The work was hanging in an open space at ground level of the building, easy to see from outside and for those who are living in the apartments around. |
